The unit which was initially started as a private limited company in 1985 with the name Aranthangi chemicals private limited was subsequently converted into a public limited company with a name Aranthaangi products limited and thereby widening its network and establishing the unit identity of the product of the company.
Acpl is the one and only unit manufacturing precipitated calcium carbonate amongst the five southern states of India namely Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Karnataka. The factory was initially set up in an area of several acres of land and was extended to 9 acres in 2001. further an additional 5.5 acres was added extending its boundaries 14.5 acres. The products namely precipitated calcium carbonate are widely used in manufacturing papers, detergent powders, talcum powders, paints, different types of PVC pipes, rubber spare parts of automobiles and others . The factory was started with a single unit in 1985 later expanded its production by starting a second unit to widen the network.
Raw materials:
The main raw material for the production of precipitated calcium carbonate is limestone, charcoal and husk are the heat producing agents in the process of purification of limestone. After which the final product are attained. Acpl is keen on the quality of its products to ensure the high quality of precipitated calcium carbonate (pcc) high grade quality limestone are imported whereas fuel materials like charcoal are procured in tamil nadu.
